Infrastructure development serves as a critical enabler of economic growth and social development. The State has undertaken several measures to improve infrastructure across various sectors, with the objective of lowering logistics costs, enhancing connectivity, and supporting broader economic activity.

The State increased capital outlay from ₹22.7 thousand crore in 2021-22 to ₹65.01 thousand crore in 2025-26 (BE), reflecting an outstanding compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30 per cent. The capital outlay-to-GSDP ratio rose from 3.3 per cent to 6.6 per cent during the same period, signalling greater emphasis on infrastructure development.
